Hello Wreaths Across America Supporters,
Welcome from Washington Crossing Wreaths for Veterans (WCWFV) Committee. We are excited to help participate in the 2025 Wreaths Across America Day at Washington Crossing National Cemetery (WCNC) again, on Saturday, December 13th, wreath laying will start at 8:30am.
For the past several years we have helped, along with other like-minded fundraising groups, to recognize every veteran headstone with a ceremonial wreath. Unfortunately, last year we fell a little short of our Mission. Our Mission remains constant — to place a ceremonial wreath at all headstones.
We’re so grateful for your past financial support. Because of the continuously increasing number of Veteran gravesites, we need your generous support again this year. All wreaths at WCNC are sponsored solely by family members, private individuals, small business, and companies. Please help us provide a ceremonial wreath for each of the approximately 21,000 headstones. So please help Honor a Veteran with your support and passing on the information about the WAA event.
Last year we started a voucher system whereby an allotment of wreaths were placed by each individual. Allowing everyone who came to Honor a veteran to place a wreath. We implemented this system due to the number of people each year who waited line, only the find there were no wreaths available to place. The voucher will allow each individual attending, to place up to six (6) wreaths. We ask parents with young children to share their allotment with their children. This number may change according to the number of wreaths allotted to WCNC. Wreaths will be staged at each section throughout the cemetery for ease of access. Also, we were gifted with police presence last year to control traffic flow for ease of parking.
PLEASE NOTE: Parking is limited at WCNC. Due to the tremendous turnout of volunteers and family members, we ask that you carpool and after you Honor a Veteran with a ceremonial wreath you exit the cemetery to allow the countless others waiting to Honor a Veteran a parking space.
