Wreath Voucher
• Everyone, 12 years old and over, will receive ONE voucher ticket for the placement of UP TO SIX (6) Ceremonial wreaths, as you enter the cemetery.
• We ask that parents with young children in the car share their ceremonial wreaths with their children.
• Follow the traffic officer’s directions to the next open space. ALL traffic will be ONE WAY!
• Hand your ticket to the ambassador at the wreath pile to receive your allotted wreath(s).
• Once you have Honored the Veteran(s), PLEASE return to your car and exit the cemetery so others may participate. Due to the increasing number of Family, Friends and Volunteers waiting in line, we ask that you allow them the same privilege, To Also Honor a Veteran.
Wreath Laying Procedures
• Approach the front of the headstone, EXCEPT headstones with the “STAR of DAVID”
• Extend the wreath outwards, offering it to the Veteran.
• Place the wreath flat on the ground with the bow at 12.00 o’clock, (NOT touching the headstone).
• PLEASE DO NOT move any personal items already placed at the grave site.
• Say the Veterans rank and name aloud.
• For military cadets, current service members, and veterans – render a slow salute.
• For all others, volunteers and family members – you may place your right hand over your heart before departing the grave site.
